full scale publishing demos (in my living room) in association with a great production company in New York City.  Until that first big hit
comes through,  I am still working with a small, very select group of advertising and marketing clients...and still loving it.

Independent corporate communications and advertising consultant. Contracted with various marketing firms, long-term and short-term, to produce a wide range of sales and marketing materials and campaigns. Clients ranged from local retailers to national business-to-business corporations, including:

U.S. TELEPHONE, Nashville, TN 
Developed and implemented corporate identity program, Web site, and e-commerce strategies. Wrote and produced all sales and marketing materials and served on new product development team.

WORLD COMMERCE SYSTEMS, Jackson, MS 
Created and marketed a low-cost Web site product called Site-2-Go. Managed project from startup, including securing and supervising creative vendors, writing marketing plans, and creating all sales and collateral material.

TECLINK, Jackson, MS 
Evangelized Internet dial-up service. Created advertising and marketing campaigns that resulted in a 1000% (one-thousand percent) increase in customer base in just six months. Promoted Internet use by making frequent multimedia presentations to various community groups. Secured about $50,000 worth of on-air radio and TV promotions at no cost, using "Acker the Hacker" persona.

STUMPF BARTELS ADVERTISING  
Special Project Manager for Ferodo America, Clarion Systems and General Telecom accounts. Served as copy/contact, developing and implementing creative strategies.

OLE MISS & MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITIES
Composed and produced compact discs for each school in 1999, consisting of original, contemporary fight songs. Marketed and promoted the products myself. Currently selling in 67 stores across the state with current combined sales of 6,500 units-plus. Radio airplay and newspaper articles have brought both the Universities and myself priceless publicity.

Door-to-door debit sales. Consistently placed in top ten percent statewide.

THE CAPITOL REPORTER, Jackson, MS, (6/78--6/81)
Wrote regular entertainment column (reviews, profiles, etc.) for weekly paper. Eulogy for John Lennon personally selected by Yoko Ono for inclusion in the Spirit Foundation book, A Tribute to John Lennon.

LAW Cleveland, OH/Atlanta, GA (2/71-1/78)
Popular rock band. Lead guitarist and principle songwriter. Recorded three albums on MCA records, toured extensively with major acts such as the WHO, REO, Boston, Earth Wind & Fire, Peter Frampton, Bob Segar, Chuck Berry and others.
